I didn’t expect a 30-minute video on YouTube to hit me as hard as this one did, but here we are. The video talks about and expresses thoughts that I’ve been having for the past couple of years and the past couple of months specifically. How does your life change (or how do you change your life) when “the end” is imminent?...

This idea of being the type of dude that can take their laptop on a train/plane/car ride/picnic/camping trip and bang out a cool tune as “just something to pass the time” is my idea of perfection. I have all the tools, but very little of the skill (and even less of the ability to focus).

Kevin Smith shares his story of overcoming childhood trauma. Well, I say “overcoming” but I mean “learning to live with”. At the end of the day that’s kinda the best any one of us can do, really. Many great thoughts/ideas/quotes. The one that struck me when I watched this video was: When you’re numb, terrible things happen.

Really enjoyed this video about vibes and aesthetics and how every micro-genre of “how things look” seems to need it’s own name now. Like, I realize that having a specific name for a specific vibe is helpful and makes communication easier in a time when communication is excruciatingly difficult, but damn… Giving a specific name to something as amorphous as a “vibe” feels counterproductive. Vibes are vibes — you either get it or you don’t 😀
